A despicable lost yesterday may have caused some issues for Syracuse. If they are to advance and not put themselves on the bubble again this year they need to wipe the floor of teams like St. Johns. D-Nic once again did not perform they way he should of nor did the big men going back to the non-rebounding performances as well as not making smart plays. This has been typical of this senior group again to not show up when needed most. We have discussed how Watkins and Roberts have come along but for every step they advance with they seem to take one or two back in the next game, consistency there is the issue and it has become a big factor.
A tight 1 point win against a bottom 5 team in the league in Cinci followed by a 4 point loss against maybe an even worse team is not going to cut it. They have the meat of there Big East schedule coming up and I think this loss maybe shades of things to come. Your thoughts...

I have to say that all that is true. I'm so sick of hearing about the "potential" and all the excuses people make for this team. This team will lose AT LEAST one or two more games against teams they should beat and likely will beat a few teams we think they'll lose to.
Straight up, either way, this is one of my least favorite Syracuse teams ever. Nothing to like about them.
Next year a new generation takes over.
Davols I agree on all of that. If this senior laden team could live up to some of its early hype which circulated 4 years ago, by now being they are all seniors, they could have chance to dominant what I feel is a weak big east this year. Its like they climb up the side of the mountain and just as they are about to reach the top they fall back down again. There is no excuse for the play of this team. I wouldn't say this is one of my least favorite teams because again in some sick way I try to be positive that they can make a nice little run and finish at least top 3 in the BEAST but thats a lot to ask for.
I would say that last year's teams, until the big east championship, was one of my least favorites however if this one doesn't shape up they may take over that ranking on my list.
I would say still though teams like the '97 team and I believe the 2000 or 2001 team (can't remember) teams that didn't make the tournament and didn't play like they wanted to play in the tournament all year are the teams I hated the most over the span of being such a Orange die hard...
yes the 2001-2002 team is what you're thinking of. The team with DeShawn Williams the year he punched out the girl who plays otto and also fucked Shumperts girlfriend.
That is my least favorite team of all time.
Yeah that was the worst team of all time, 2nd would be the 1997 team which were a big dissappointment.
Yeah right after he knocked out Otto and then screwed Shumpert's girl and also then gave him "Pink Eye" (aka I knocked dem boots off ya girl and I knocked you square in ya face muthafucka...). He then transfered and tooks his talents to Iona where I almost ran over him one day as he was walking to class and I was full speed ahead driving...something stopped me though and I am not sure what... but I would have been seen as a glory figure to all SU fans had I run his black ass over!!!
