Well the Giants organization with the decision making of a very well-spoken, savy and very honest owner in John K Mara, decided to bring Tommy back. My question is what impact will this have on the team next year? There is no more prolific RB, Manning did not improve this year, and it seems as though the team has some vets who are not totally buying into Coughlin (due to all the throwing him under the bus quotes and attitudes in the locker room this year).
Your thoughts...

I'm basically ambivalent about Coughlin coming back . . . I don't think he's helped the Giants reach their potential, but i wouldn't say he's been a complete disaster either . . .
My biggest problem is that he came in as the consummate disciplinarian, and his team was consistently the least disciplined in the league . . .
I don't think there is necessarily a guy out there (available) that I think could right the ship immediately, so why not give him a chance - at least it gives us all something else to bitch about . . . "Fuckin' Coughlin - you unimaginative asshole!!!!!"

Coughlin is an old school coach in a new school nfl, the same can be said for guys like Parcells and Gibbs.
I guess I am not 100 percent in disagreement now that our season is over with and I can reflect, however I was one of many that was calling for his ousting.
My issue is this, Jerry Reese (an internal guy with the giants) is going to step up as there GM. Pioli from NE said no way and there were reports that Parcells (Pioli's father in-law) inquired about the job. Any which way you have it, and Reese is a nice guy according to my bro, there is NO CHANGE...the Giants need change again and by bringing in an internal guy and then having your same coach there again nothing has changed...is Coughlin going to be coaching here for another year or 2??? Probably not...so where does that leave the franchise??? No better than what it is already...in my mind!!!
