Well we all saw last night who the Big East player might be!?!?! DeJuan Blair put up an impressive showing with 22 pts and 23 rebounds to lead Pitt over number 1 Uconn...he also almost ripped off Thabeet's arm. Weigh in on your take of last nights game and the impact it had.

BLAIR OWNED THABEET AND SHOWED YOU WHY THABEET IS NOT AS GREAT AS EVERYONE MAKES HIM OUT TO BE. ONUAKU SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKING NOTES ALL NIGHT LONG ON HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY GO RIGHT AT HIM LITERALLY!
Couple points
1. What is Calhoun crying about? Look you got outplayed and out manned ok...yes a few calls were questionable but you know what Jimmy when you win that happens so stop crying and carrying on in your post game press conference about how the game was different...SHUT UP!!!
2. DeJuan Blair gets my vote for Big East Player of the year...I was big on him as a freshman I think he is the best big man in the conference and yes I agree Onuaku should have taken notes on that game last night. Thabeet as I have said before, if you are physical with him he has no chance, takes him right out of his game.
3. How good is Shawn Young...he has NBA talent written all over him...Fields is quality as well, he is another big boy at the guard position
In all Pitt could be the best most complete team in the Beast...I would watch out for them!
Not sure if it's completely fair to bag on Thabeet (although I thoroughly enjoyed Blair's performance last night). Afterall, Thabeet only played 23 minutes and was either injured (the arm/shoulder) or in foul trouble for nearly all of them. Additionally, its tough to talk about him strictly looking at last night, as he was playing the most physical player in the NCAA. I mean how many times is he going to have to face that kind of physicality even in the pros?
Assuredly, Thabeet thrives when refs do not overly officiate (see the UConn/Cuse game), and he definitely got jobbed on a couple of those "let them play" calls last night.
On the other hand, Blair, just as he did against the Cuse, got away with just about everything he wanted to do last night. You can bet your sweet ass that if Blair tried that shit against a cupcake like Hansbrough, Tyler would be flopping around, on his ass, and Blair would be in foul trouble in the first 8 minutes.
I agree about Calhoun - he was whining all fucking night long; Jimmy, just shut the fuck up already.
I also agree that Blair sealed the deal for Beast POY last night.

Well listening to Francesa yesterday (the first few minutes anyways until he just went off on Arod) he said it was the most physical college bball game he had ever seen...I agree it was up there in terms of physicality. Blair gets away with a lot but he is so freakin strong. I am impressed with Young he is very smart and a good player. Fields is not bad either...did you happen to catch Raftery when he hit that 3 with about 3 min left that really sealed the deal for Pitt...."AHHH SOME EARLY ONIONS...WOOOOO!!!" Me and my brother replayed it several times and were pissing our pants laughing!!!
No, I missed that . . . hahaha . . .
