Giants Power Rankings Week 14

Here are my top 5 after a tough week...

5. Terrell Thomas - actually one of only 2 players to do anything of note on Sunday
4. Kenny Phillips
3. Aaron Ross
2. Justin Tuck
1. Eli Manning

HM
K. Dockery - The other guy who actually made a big time play in this game

Who I am down on:
A. Pierce - He is the vocal leader in the locker room and they need that, however in big spots he just shows you how he is average at best. Letting Westbrook score on that 3rd and long was terrible but in his defense he is not good enough to be on single coverage with a guy like Westbrook, he is not that good in coverage as it is...too many times he can get burned!

Kevin Gilbride - Ok if you know me you know I hate this guys guts and I have refrained from saying anything about him during this weekly blog but its games like this where he gets exploited big time in his play calling. I don't want to hear Aikman and Moose praising this guys play calling anymore. I think it was 2nd and 6 and he runs and end around to Manningham for a major loss...what was he trying to pull there. 4th and 1 and they are lined up in the shotgun...unreal this guy with his playcalling in key situations!!!

What linebacker in football could've covered Westbrook on that play? What linebacker in NFL history could've covered Westbrook on that play?

Here are my top 5. Tough time finding the positives after the Dallas game!

5) Steve Smith - 5/59, only gets better with time.
4) John Carney - 2/2 with a 47 yarder that had plenty of leg...not bad for a fossil.
3) Corey Webster - teams continue to shy away from his side, 4 tackles on the day, 3 solo.
2) Mathias Kiwanuka - 5 tackles with 1.5 sacks
1) Terrell Thomas - led team w/ 7 tackles, 6 solo.

Bottom 5

5) Aaron Ross - still gets burned from time to time.
4) Michael Johnson - had a chance to force a punt at the crucial stage late in the game. Couldn't wrap up Witten to give us one more chance.
3) David Diehl - breaks my heart to pick on the O-line, but Diehl got abused. D. Ware is an animal, so I can't be too down on him. Hopefully he can do a better job on Peppers this week.
2) Antonio Pierce -- the glue of the defense, but continues to get lit up. Got toasted twice in a row before the second TD!
1) Kevin Gilbride -- Unbelievably horrific. Absolutely no adjustments made when Dallas was sending constant pressure. Where were the draw plays, two-step drops, direct snaps, dump passes and screens to keep 'em honest. Keep calling for the 15 yard routes while Eli gets his spleen ruptured? Shows brief stints of brilliance at times...very brief!
