MD Top 25 - Week 11

Had Clemson made more than ONE OF SEVEN STINKING FREE THROWS this poll might be far different.

- Memphis
- Duke - so far they have made opponents play their style
- Kansas
- Tennessee - memo to the Vols. I don't care how bad a team is reeling on paper, if you don't take them seriously you will get burned.
- North Carolina
- Georgetown
- Texas A & M
- Texas
- UCLA - Attn: Huskies, great win but you could've bounced the ball off Aboya's leg and it would have been just as effective.
- Drake
- Butler
- Michigan State
- Stanford - challengers to the Pac-10 throne and best Cardinal team since '98.
- Washington State - in free-fall until they got their shiznit together against the Trojans.
- Indiana
- St. Mary's
- Gonzaga
- Xavier
- Kansas State
- Connecticut - may be the hottest team in the nation right now.
- Pitt
- Vanderbilt
- Florida
- Rhode Island
- Louisville - also playing very well now.

Ok, I have to rant some about the Tigers' inability to cash in free chips. As Aaron Marcus, Esq. will readily attest to, my lone basketball skill is free-throw shooting. Despite attending three basketball camps this is still the only viable hoops skill I have. So if my bald, pudgy, non-athletic ass can sink charity shots at a strong percentage why can't some fluidly muscled throughbreds do better than 14.3 PERCENT!!!!

Bald,

Excellent rant, I too have lost most of my game (which wasn't much) however in my glorious CYO days I was always 90 percent or better from the free throw line, and in my coaching days I stressed the importance of the free throw and usually coached good free throw shooting teams for the most part...however the thoroughbreds are also lazy asses, do you think a big time college program even practices free throw shots? I can tell you that Syracuse doesn't...I don't get it either it has always puzzeled me how such an easy high percentage shot could be missed so often!?!?!?!
