Pool Lap Numero Uno!!!

I get WAY too excited this time of year!! Two months till I sit on my ass collect dust and watch the first two rounds in their entirety forsaking all that is holy in terms of hygiene and good nutrition!!

And what better way to get ready than the first edition of the brackets!

EAST

1 UNC v. 16 Play-In (Arkansas Pine-Bluff/Robert Morris)
8 Ohio State v. 9 UMass
5 Drake v. 12 Cal
4 Butler v. 13 VCU
3 Washington State v. 14 Holy Cross
6 St. Mary's v. 11 Louisville
7 Arkansas v. 10 Kansas State
2 Georgetown v. 15 Oral Roberts

WEST

1 UCLA v. 16. Hampton
8 Miami (Fl.) v. 9 Gonzaga
5 Wisconsin v. 12 San Diego St.
4 Dayton v. 13 Sam Houston St.
3 Texas v. 14 Cal State-Northridge
6 Arizona v. 11 Florida
7 Pitt v. 10 Kent State
2 Tennessee v. 15 Austin Peay

SOUTH

1 Memphis v. 16 ETSU
8 UConn v. 9 Illinois State
5 Xavier v. 12 UNLV
4 Marquette v. 13 Davidson
3 Michigan State v. 14 Brown
6 Ole Miss v. 11 Arizona State
7 Clemson v. 10 Villanova
2 Texas A&M v. 15 Northern Arizona

MIDWEST

1 Kansas v. 16 UMBC
8 Syracuse v. 9 South Alabama
5 Oregon v. 12 Creighton
4 Vanderbilt v. 13 Niagara
3 Indiana v. 14 Nevada
6 Rhode Island v. 11 Providence
7 Stanford v. 10 West Virginia
2 Duke v. 15 North Carolina-Asheville

Yep, nine Big East teams. That's what happens when every team on the Eastern seaboard plays in your conference.

Best games - Florida and Arizona, Arkansas and Kansas State
Possible knockoffs - Let's hope there are some after last year's chalkfest. I like Davidson over Marquette and Holy Cross over Washington State.

Did I ever tell you how much I love you? Haha . . . anybody that actually takes the time to create their own 'Bracketology'-style bracket is pure, unadulterated, fucking genius . . .

You should update this weekly, or as much as possible . . . unfortunately, I have a feeling my beloved Orange will soon be joining your beloved Blue on the outside looking in . . .

I like the idea of nine "Beast" teams - it has a very nice ring to it . . .

Looks like my preseason "Final Four" is staying to true to form (not like picking Memphis, UNC, UCLA, and KU was any huge stretch :)) . . .

Wazoo upset in the first round? Nice . . .

As for the declaration of love yeah I think you told me that once when I scored two of my five points during the stellar 2-14 campaign when we suited up for the St. Catharine's Vikings.

I seriously think the Beast is getting nine and I predict the A-10 and the SEC will get the same amount of teams in the dance.

Bald,

Great sh*t here...how long did it take you to actually compile this...and what do you do for a living!?!?!?! HA. In the past I have usually done this sort of analysis with a few weeks left before the conference tourneys...I like this early analysis though, good work!!!

Um few things, I posted (not officially as I should) my number one seeds in no particular order to schof just today and I have it as such (now I haven't gotten into the regional sites so hopefully I am not off with where I place the teams)

East - UNC, they are locked in here for sure
South (Southeast whatever the hell it is now) - Memphis, just a machine this year
Mid-West - Kansas, I just see no end in sight to there winning ways
West - I say the winner of the Pac 10, Wizzou has dropped due to there tough loss to UCLA but still something tells me Wizzou is going to linger in that final 1 seed spot if UCLA does not win the PAC 10 and finish better than them. If not a 1 seed most likely a 2 (at this point anyways)

As for Syracuse if they win 20 games put money on them there there will be a first round NIT game in the Dome

9 teams from the Beast, I think this time every year (since the new big east) we are all saying the same thing...but it just will not happen, this committee is a lot different from the good ol days and I think they put a lot of stock on how many they choose from one conference.

And BTW...UMBC as the America East pick...what no love for the Bing...tourney is in the Events Center this year!!! LOL

Which we should definitely hit a few games at . . . Schof can hook us up with a luxury box . . . do they have a luxury box?

Mark my words....I would LOVE to see Bingo in the Dance and I will run around like crazy in full Bearcats (still sounds funny after growing up with the Patriots) regalia should they do so.

I think you meant Colonials...which is a much better nick name, they should never have changed it!

Schof was telling me they do have a lux box and he has gotten hooked up this year as he has season tix and spends the first half in the box getting free food, however he doesn't know if they do it during the tourney!!! And yes we gotta hit up some of the games for sure.

Whoops...I did mean Colonials...did they change that when they went D-1? And is Coach Baldwin still alive?

Yeah, they didn't think Colonials was a high-profile enough name for D1 . . . as far as I know, Dicky B is still kickin . . .
