This is how I saw it as compared to how the AP saw it . . .
First Team:
C Greg Oden, Ohio St., 7-0, 280, 15.7 ppg, .7 apg, 9.6 rpg (Relatively mild numbers belie his dominance)
PF Nick Fazekas, Nevada, 6-11, 240, 20.4 ppg, 1.8 apg, 11.1 rpg (Most complete big forward in the country this season)
F Jared Dudley, Boston College, 6-7, 225, 19 ppg, 3 apg, 8.3 rpg (Versatility is the key for the Eagles’ do-everything leader)
G/F Kevin Durant, Texas, 6-9, 225, 25.8 ppg, 1.3 apg, 11.1 rpg (The best player in the country)
PG Aaron Brooks, Oregon, 6-0, 160, 17.7 ppg, 4.3 apg, 4.3 rpg (Undersized, but tremendous)
Second Team:
C Aaron Gray, Pittsburgh, 7-0, 270, 13.9 ppg, 1.7 apg, 9.5 rpg (Solid)
F/C Al Horford, Florida, 6-10, 245, 13.2 ppg, 2.2 apg, 9.5 rpg (The true backbone of the national champ)
F Tyler Hansbrough, UNC, 6-9, 245, 18.4 ppg, 1.2 apg, 7.9 rpg (Fiery and tough team leader)
SG Chris Lofton, Tennessee, 6-2, 200, 20.8 ppg, 1.7 apg, 3.1 rpg (One of the purest shooters I’ve ever seen at the college level)
PG Acie Law IV, Texas A&M, 6-3, 195, 18.1 ppg, 5.3 apg, 3 rpg (Captain Clutch, well, except for the occasional lay-up)
Third Team:
C Roy Hibbert, Georgetown, 7-2, 278, 12.9 ppg, 1.1 apg, 6.9 rpg (Surprised many with how well he competed against the nation’s best centers; also lead the nation in FG%)
F/C Herbert Hill, Providence, 6-10, 240, 18.1 ppg, 1.4 apg, 8.8 rpg (The nation’s best kept secret)
F Al Thornton, Florida St., 6-8, 220, 19.7 ppg, .7 apg, 7.2 rpg (Pretty sick)
G/F Reggie Williams, VMI, 6-5, 195, 28.1 ppg, 4.4 apg, 8 rpg (Tough to keep the nation’s leading scorer off one of these squads)
PG Sean Singletary, Virginia, 6-0, 185, 19 ppg, 4.7 apg, 4.6 rpg (Perhaps even better than Brooks or Law, but didn’t carry his team quite like they did)
Honorable Mentions (alphabetically):
Arron Afflalo, SG, UCLA, 6-5, 215, 16.9 ppg, 1.9 apg, 2.8 rpg (Not as high on this AP 1st Teamer as others, but his impact on the Bruins’ success was substantial)
Mario Boggan, F/C, Oklahoma St., 6-7, 235, 19 ppg, 1.4 apg, 7.6 rpg (Perhaps the most competitive banger in the country)
Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis, PF, LSU, 6-9, 295, 17.7 ppg, 2.3 apg, 10.4 rpg (Actually had him projected a bit higher, but like his team, fell a bit short of expectations)
Jeff Green, F, Georgetown, 6-9, 235, 14.3 ppg, 3.2 apg, 6.4 rpg (Another player whose numbers don’t tell the whole story – GTown’s go to guy)
Carl Landry, F, Purdue, 6-7, 252, 18.9 ppg, 1.2 apg, 7.3 rpg (Quietly effective)
Demetris Nichols, SF, Syracuse, 6-8, 212, 18.9 ppg, 1.5 apg, 5.4 rpg (Incredible stroke and range; interested to see how well he shoots at the next level)
Stephane Lasme, F, Massachusetts, 6-8, 220, 13.5 ppg, .8 apg, 9.5 rpg (Unsung star that does the dirty work – nation’s second leading shot-blocker)
Joakim Noah, F/C, Florida, 6-11, 232, 12 ppg, 2.3 apg, 8.4 rpg (A bit quirky perhaps, but one of the more unique talents to come along in awhile – one of the most athletic 6-11 players I’ve ever seen)
Alando Tucker, SF, Wisconsin, 6-6, 205, 19.9 ppg, 2 apg, 5.4 rpg (Probably have this AP 1st Teamer a little low, but Dudley, Hansbrough, and Thornton are no jokes either)
Brandan Wright, F, UNC, 6-9, 205, 14.7 ppg, 1 apg, 6.2 rpg (Will be a dominating player in years to come)
All-Frosh Team:
C Greg Oden
F Brandan Wright
G/F Kevin Durant
G D.J. Augustin, Texas, 5-11, 175, 14.4 ppg, 6.7 apg, 2.8 rpg (Gaudy assist numbers tell the story here – he wasn’t just passing to Durant either)
G Mike Conley, Jr., Ohio St., 6-1, 180, 11.3 ppg, 6.1 apg, 3.4 rpg (Calm, cool, and collected; for all of his otherwordly speed, he is amazingly mistake-free)
Player and Frosh of the Year: Kevin Durant (Was there even a doubt?)
How do YOU guys see it?!?!?!?!?

Signed,
Welcome to the Thunder Dome...Bitch!
Greg Oden - He's 35 and ought to be good. Seriously, I wish could have seen more of him in college but he's obviously ready.
Kevin Durant - Further proof that Rick Barnes can't coach. No way that team should have gotten bounced in round 2. Durant has the complete package and will be a nightmare to guard at the next level.
Nick Fazekas - Ehh. He's done well with the skills he has. But he reminds me of a slightly more polished Matt Bullard. So much for a ringing endorsement.
Aaron Brooks - The next Terrell Brandon and not just the Oregon connection.
Jared Dudley - Not too many people are talking about this kid like they should be. Great inside-out game. He makes a nice 3 in the pros.
Aaron Gray - Again has gotten the most out of what he has but will suffer in a fast-paced game.
Al Horford - An NBA all-star in five years. Mark my words. Best player on Florida by far.
Tyler Hansbrough. Like his work ethic and fearlessness, but had a worse game against UK than his brother Ben at Miss. State.
Chris Lofton - The next hired gun in the NBA.
Acie Law IV - If Alex Gideon is 3/4 the player this UK fan will be very happy.
Roy Hibbert - Nice footwork for a big man. Continues tradition of fine Hoya centers.
Herbert Hill - Didn't see him play much but stats are nice.
Reggie Williams - A brighter NBA future than namesake?
Al Thornton - Considering he was double-teamed constantly in a tough conference he belongs here.
Sean Singletary - Part of the most underrated backcourt in the country. Versatile game.
