Is it enough to watch the Yanks again???

The question has been posed by Davols and going back to his and my harsh statements of not watching the team this year....is it enough now to with all the changes that have been made?

It was specifically stated that Johnson, Sheffield, Mussina, A-Rod would have to be moved in order for us to continue to watch the Yankees.

So in light of there moves here in the offseason, has the formula changed enough to re-gain interest in watching the Yankees?

Please extrapolate...

I am torn because I stated I wanted Sheffield, Johnson, and Mussina gone. Of the 3 I actually like Mussina. I knew that Sheffield and Johnson were a 100% must go if I was to watch, and now they are gone. Mussina was fine last year but I thought he should have moved on. I can live with him on the team.

I am also wondering about Bernie, who I don't see making the team this year. They will not carry a 5th outfielder so he will have to go somewhere else or retire. I love bernie, but its time to let it go I believe. The team has to get younger.

The biggest factor though is the "is it worth it" factor. Why invest 162 days of interest into this team again for a first round exit again? I don't know if I have the stamina for it again. I was so mentally exhaused after last years collapse.

Point well taken. I stated something similar saying lets get rid of sheffield and johnson, I said Mussina should go, I said I think its time to trade A-Rod, and I also said I do not want to see Wright nor Pavano on this team any longer. Of the 6 that I keyed in on 3 have stayed and three have left and its the three I wanted most gone.
I can put up I think one more season with A-Rod because I like him as a player but if he does what he has done the last two post seasons...take care!!! Pavano, lets hope he gets traded at some point or released.
As for Bernie, I love the guy and will miss him as a staple on the team. His exit brings about the notion that one of the lasts of the championship run is about to exit and that is sad. I have no clue why they signed Mankavich (sp?) that was stupid, they should have stuck it out with Phillips and Giambi, again the Yankees love making these types of moves because they don't trust there on-the-field personnel. Let Phillips develop and grow, the guy will be average (or below average) if you don't put any trust in him besides this team needs guys like Phillips.
I do not want to hear any talk of Mo leaving or not signing him at the end of the year...Cashman get that god damn deal done NOW!!! And the same goes for Cabera...you better keep his ass on this team...guys will get older and he can step in nicely and be the next Bernie Williams of the team.
The question is it enough? At this point I am going to say yes but will side with Davols if they bomb out in the first round...if that happens they can get rid of the whole team and I will still be done with them...lets just hope all the vested interest that I am willing to put in pays off or I will be down at Scranton watching AAA for the rest of my life!!!
